Bloc Wellbeing Fundraiser Reaches New Heights

Bloc Wellbeing, who organise a weekly Pro-Sober Climbing Group at City Bloc in Leeds raised over £1000 with a three-peak challenge.
A team of ten, made up of volunteers and regular group attendees, climbed the equivalent of the three highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England on 2 February 2025.
Climbing the heights of Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scafell Pike – a total of 11,180ft the team raised £1105 towards making climbing more accessible for people in recovery in Leeds.

The money will go towards subsidised and free places at the climbing
With a DJ provided by High Sobriety a collective of sober DJs in Leeds providing an inspiring mix for people to climb to, the team hit their target of climbing the peaks in under three hours.

Bloc Wellbeing Director Craig Wilkinson said: “We feel this was a terrific success. We’re really grateful to everyone who came down both to climb and support. We needed the money to keep this project going. It was a great community feel on the day and I’m delighted we smashed our target”.
